We’ve a busy day ahead as Pool Boy and I get ready to head to Grand Rapids, Michigan tomorrow for a Stampin’ Up! event. We will be home late Sunday afternoon and that gives me just one day to prep for the monthly groups Stamp ‘n Sip and Techniques. I designed Stamp ‘n Sip’s framed insert yesterday, and I’ll have Monday to prep for Tech class and we will be ready! September we will have a couple of Halloween classes available both in person and by mail, and that brings us to our final class which is our September Christmas card class. September is already looking like a busy time ahead!
We are back with our Neutral Noel projects, and this one I paired Cherry Cobbler card stock with Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla, and gold accents. Notice the Softly Woven embossing folder again??? Dang, I’m going to get my money out of it cause it’s showing up on lots of projects, isn’t it???
The Neutral Noel Suite includes the beautiful DSP but if you are a person who loves color you may have to think outside the box for your color combos. The colors of Basic Beige, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, and gold foil are exactly what the title implies – NEUTRAL! I would suggest turning to dark and regal colors such as Night Of Navy, Secret Sea, Cajun Craze, maybe even Blackberry Bliss to add more contrast and color with your creations.
Who wants some FREE DSP??? Yesterday I posted a contest on my FB business Page – Flick Of The Rist – Lola Rist – looking for some patchwork cards using our DSP scraps! Final Thoughts….
Don’t you want to just kiss this chocolate cookie face??? Our Benjamin Reed is fast approaching the 2 year mark, and has he taken off! The words are flowing, the confidence is growing imitating his older brother Cal, and we have truly left the season of babies. Yesterday Papa Pool Boy and I dropped off a plate of chocolate chip cookie bars at their house. The boys were busy playing on their swing set, and as soon as Papa Pool Boy parked the truck they came running for hugs and kisses with big smiles on their faces.
Of course, just the memory of them running to us for hugs puts smiles on our faces as well, long after the fact. Their mom Rachel sent a video of the boys enjoying their treats after dinner. Days like this are the best!
