Good morning everyone and welcome to the start of the week!!!! We are homebound right now with around 10 inches of snow that fell yesterday, drifting from winds, and cold temps. I barely let the canine diva Shelby outside to do her duty before she is back barking frantically wanting inside the house. Now, don’t start feeling sorry for Shelby! She also is barking frantically at the door wanting inside when it’s 70 DEGREES!!! It’s simply her separation anxiety kicking in!
So, how often have you used the notecard and envelopes from the annual catalog???? I would bet most paper crafters have never ordered a package. Our notecard/envelope combos are a great deal for the money – 20 note cards, 20 envelopes for $10!!! – and are super useful for gift ideas!!! Today during my FB LIVE at 4:30 central I will be creating some sweet note card valentines AND the BEST gift booklet that holds 4 notecards. The special thing about this booklet is it’s made with a 12×12 inch DSP and NO ADHESIVE! Be sure to check me out at the link below:

Here are some ideas of how I’ve used the notecards for great gift ideas:
- baby and wedding shower thank yous!!! These have been one of our favorite uses and I’ve made multiple over the years for our daughter to share as gifts. Tied up in a celophane bag with cute ribbon and tag – perfect!!
- teacher appreciation gifts! Put 10 education-themed cards/envelopes in a celophane bag with a couple of new ink pens – super easy and super appreciated by educators!
- group of 10 thank you cards/envelopes for friends who have been ill and need cards to write thank yous for food, etc. – I’d even go as far as putting stamps on these envelopes as well!!!
Our notecards are available in both Basic White and Very Vanilla and although they may be hard to find in the annual catalog, they are easy to find in the online store! Simply search under note cards and they will pop up!!!
Final Thoughts…..
I would dearly miss this little gal as my shadow. Shelby came to us 11 years ago as my retirement gift from my elementary students in the Shelby County school district. Hence her name! She is sassy, opinionated, full of energy and living the good life, but how dare I leave her outside one minute longer than necessary!
Pool Boy and I continue to knock through drawers, shelves, and closets straightening up and throwing out. I’ve been working through my craftroom as well, and Pool Boy has undertaken the kitchen since it’s kind of his domain. Maybe later today he will go out and push snow off the drive with his side by side since the blade is ready to go to work. Otherwise, we will simply enjoy these couple days of forced hibernation due to weather. When you don’t need to go anywhere in snow, home is the best place to be.
I’ll post the finished valentine cards and booklet tomorrow, but until then, think about how you can use those notecards in your papercrafting. Versatile, economical, and awesome gifts for others! I hope you find some time to craft, to create, and God Bless!!!
