I’m typing this Thursday night before heading to bed since Pool Boy decided he wants to be on the road heading to KC by 6:30am. We will take a nice leisurely 350-400 mile drive tomorrow heading first to City Market in Kansas City, on to Raymore for an early lunch with my sister, a quick stop in Warrensburg to deliver flowers, then on to Alma to pick up Jim’s mom. Zip home, go to a soup supper at baby Calvin’s school, then home for Thanksgiving meal prep before Megan’s family arrives for the weekend. All of our holidays are mixed up this year since we are doing both Thanksgiving and Christmas the weekends before, but that means we can enjoy some quiet time for the holidays itself.
Even Christmas gifting is going to be low-key since we are taking the family to Alaska in August of ’24. That means stocking stuffers are all I need for the adults, and we just need to shop for the grands. I want to play one of those fun games you see on tik tok or fb reels with pingpong balls bounced into muffin tins for prizes, etc. Something fun, so if you have any ideas put them in the comments!!! BUT nothing messy – I do NOT do messy very well!!! LOL
Tonight’s Card By Rowena!!

We had our team meeting tonight and the theme was “create a card using a Tic Tac Toe board”. Quick explanation – we had a tic tac toe board with each square having something to do with stamping, such as use an embossing folder, case a card from the Mini, Add bling, etc. Pick three choices in a row and create a card to share. It just happened that Rowena ALSO was in charge of the Make and Take, so she combined the two into one card and we ALL got to create this lovely one!!!
She turned to her Holiday mini catalog for inspiration, and if you turn to page 28 you will see where the inspiration came from! She changed up the card base measurements along with the color choices, and mat measurements to make it hers, but what a great place to go for ideas!!! It is NOT wrong to CASE a card!!! CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything, and that’s what we papercrafting people like to do!! We try to give credit whenever possible, but it is FINE to use someone else to bring inspiration!!! Thanks Rowena for sharing with us!!!!
Final Thoughts….
I would love to say I’ll be able to post this weekend, but I have no idea if that will happen. I’ll be gathering with our family and celebrating Thanksgiving early. We have much to be thankful for, with everyone healthy, happy, and of course this will be first year we can celebrate with an added grandbaby to complete our family. So, I may be here, I may not – it all depends on being with the family. And family comes first, right??
Until next time, God Bless!
