As I’m typing today’s blog Pool Boy is in the kitchen cooking. He’s been wanting homemade chicken noodle soup, and with the temps anticipated in the 50’s today he’s decided it’s soup weather! He made his chicken stock and froze it mid summer, and now he’s busy chopping onions, celery, and carrots to add with it. There’s actually a freeze warning possible tonight and it’s cool enough for a jacket this morning, so soup will be perfect for tonight’s dinner.
And just like that, summer is past. Oh, it may try to comeback this weekend with temps back in the upper 70’s, but maybe just for a last hurrah. Yesterday Pool Boy had a fire going in the firepit, and with the darkness coming earlier at night, we settle in to fall. And I’m ready.

I’m trying to get myself back on schedule with classes, FB LIVES, and life in general. It’s easy to off schedule when you’ve been busy playing, but I’m the kind of person who needs a schedule. I get so much more accomplished if I have my gameplan written down in a to-do list. I was looking at some easy techniques to share with my tech clubs, and an oldie popped up – one I’ve not shared before.
Have you tried the masking technique????? So easy – simply lay clean strips of tape on the ink pad surface, being sure you have good coverage, then transfer the ink to your mat!! So fast and such varied results! My colors above are Balmy Blue, Boho Blue, and Misty Moonlight. I added the image and greeting from Delicate Forest with Black Memento, popped on some embellishments and added a ribbon – done!

With all of the travelling and stuff, I’ve totally slipped up getting the info out about the Fall Retreat!!!! Mark the days above for our in person gathering and be watching for more details!!! Our retreat is available both in person as well as by tutorial, and the cost includes a $25 goody bag of products to use on your make and takes!!! More to follow, so be watching!!!
I’ll be back tomorrow to share again, but until then, have a great day doing whatever makes you happy – and for Pool Boy, that includes homemade chicken noodle soup! — and God Bless!!!
