One Of Our Cards From Online Speed Bingo Night!

We had the best time with the grandsons last night, but oh my the energy they can burn! They were in zoom mode from pick up time at daycare to right before bed. We played, we rode bikes, we watched a Disney Halloween special, then read books, sang bedtime songs and down to bed they went. Well, at least Cal went down to bed. Ben kept saying “Go away Nana” then proceeded to repeat that sentence with every name in his family. Both slept reasonably well through the night, then up between 5:30 and 6:15 for breakfast. They were in car seats and leaving for daycare at 7:30 and I was reclaiming the house after our overnight visit.

We always have to play with our Connect Four game! I love Connect Four and all the activities you can use it for – we don’t even play the game yet!!! It’s a great way to take turns, practice color recognition, and works on small motor skills for Ben, while Cal and I use it for patterns, counting, and vocabulary. This game survived my years working as a speech implementer and it has lots of years left. Probably by the time they can actually play the game they will not be interested though! Grandparents – if you don’t have this one be sure to add it to your toy arsenal!

The card above is one I shared on the night of our Speed Bingo. Our theme for the night was “Anything But A Christmas Card Fun Fold” and we worked with four different DSP patterns from the catalog – Mosaic Garden, Sunflower Fields, Timeless Christmas, and Texture and Tone. Each participant received 1/4 package of the 4 DSPs, then we shared cards using one of the DSP packages with select patterns from Texture and Tone.

Kind of odd? Maybe, but if you look at your Sept/Dec catalog on page 62 you will see that Stampin’ Up! specifically created Texture and Tone to work with the three other DSP’s! I thought this was an interesting concept but we needed to show how well they work together. Surprisingly I’ve sold several packages of Texture and Tone since Bingo night!

Later today those who signed up to participate will receive the emailed tutorial with all of the card measurements and directions. The kits – goody bag and the 5 cards – are packaged and scheduled for pick up this morning by the post office. Those who participated locally have picked up already, so later today Speed Bingo will be marked off my books until January!!!!

Final Thoughts….

Beds are made and laundry is finished, and it’s time for me to start laying out clothes for the trip. The weather for Rome and the Tuscany area is showing lows in the 50’s, highs in the upper 60’s so basically about the same as it is here in our neck of the woods. Tomorrow I will share my itinerary with you, and then next week we are going to revisit the 20 different Christmas cards we created in our classes this year.
