Good morning everyone and welcome to the start of the week. I was hoping to be back yesterday with my finished Christmas Tag Gift Box project from last week’s posts but life got in the way. We had a wonderful time visiting our daughter and her family this weekend, first to celebrate Nora’s 8th birthday and second, to watch both granddaughters playing in their soccer games. The weather was beautiful – I love the start of fall with the crisp air, the colors beginning to change, the lack of humidity in the air.
Unfortunately we also had sadness with hearing our good friend Aaron Watkins had passed. No matter how hard you try to prepare, you are never quite ready for the finality, are you? We take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering, he is able to stand tall again, and he is at peace with God.
I was able to get back to my room last night to finish this project and I loved how it turned out! I could have added more to the front of the box with some pine needle die cuts and berries around the bow, but I decided to simply let the tag stand by itself. I have to say I prefer the tags cut out of the DSP versus the card stock – the heavier weight of the card stock makes for a more bulky tag.
Final Thoughts….
I will be back tomorrow to share the cards I created on my FB LIVE later this morning using the shadow stamping technique with heat embossing. I hope you have a great day, enjoy some crafting time, and spend a little more time with those you love. God’s Blessings today and always.
