I’ve been on a mission to use up the Masterfully Made DSP and I have to say I’m liking it more and more once I started using!!!! Here I was on Monday saying how I didn’t care for it and I’m going to be challenged to get it used, and after three days I’m actually leaning towards ordering some more for myself!!! I’ve ordered at least 5 packages of that paper for customers this week alone!!!
Monochromatic Cards – One Of My Faves!

One of my favorite types of cards are monochromatic. I love the simplicity and soothing look of one ink pad and one color. Yes, in the card above I have two cardstocks – Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon – but they are basically the same color with pigment variations. And how can you not love Grassy Grove??? Pair it with a mat cut from Masterfully Made and it turned out beautifully. This was a card packet not used yesterday – I’m always cutting an extra one or two – so this was fast without diecut or punches. Ink – paper – voila!
Our Project From Yesterday’s Technique Class!

Yesterday was our Techniques Class and the focus of the day was embossing folders!!! Embossing folders were my first big “WOW” moment in papercrafting. I absolutely love them!! So very economical and you get such a big bang for your buck. But there are many other things you can do with them, so we played and inked and heat embossed – and the gals were heading home to check out their folders to see what they could do with the ones in their craft arsenal.
I debated about using this tree folder since it’s retired, but I wanted them to have the experience of creating an image of “looking through the trees” to add depth. A couple of them thought they had it in their supplies so this gave them another possible use. Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what we did with the fern embossing folder!!!!
2nd Techniques Class Soon To Start!
We will be starting a second Techniques class later this month, so if you are interested let me know!! We have a couple of openings left!!! These classes are run in my home and are for experienced stampers who want to learn and play with projects that up their cardmaking skills. Classes are free with a minimum $25 order and after 6 sessions of attendance you receive a $20 gift card from me! My first group has become a fairly closeknit group and enjoy gathering and visiting. They come for not the just the techniques but to be together and connect. Isn’t that one of the best parts of Stampin’ Up anyways????
I treasure my friendships and connections that Stampin’ Up has brought to my life, and am thankful I was introduced to papercrafting. As our Statement of the Heart says, “To love what we do and share what we love as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments —– In this we make a difference.”
Until next time, God Bless!!!
