Gosh, I hope each of you are safe and warm tucked inside your homes right now!!! It is so dangerously cold outside and even though there is a Chiefs game in KC, Pool Boy and I made the adult decision to sell our playoff tickets and stay home. This adult thing isn’t always easy but I know we made the right decision for ourselves after the health issues these last couple of months. My apologies for not posting yesterday either. I had a medical exam yesterday, and after studying weather conditions, radar, and road conditions, we were on the road before 7am. Everything is over, everything is fine, and we were back home before 11 when the temps dropped below freezing.
One of the favorite suites in the new mini catalog is the Lighter Than Air Suite. Gonna be truthful here – I’m not into the whole hot air balloon thing. Stampin’ Up has offered hot air balloon punches and a couple of die sets over the years and they are just ok for me. BUT I DO LOVE the accessories to the whole Lighter Than Air Suite!!! The DSP, the rainbow adhesive backed dots, and the Baker’s Twine three color pack are great to add to your crafting arsenal!!! I will be crafting with these goodies in ways other than ballooning!
Excellent Eggs – In Cards Or Frames!
This past week our Stamp ‘n Sip gals worked on 6 inserts for the small frame in the picture above. I have always enjoyed changing out home decor with the seasons and holidays, so this little frame is a fun project to tuck into any litte corner on a shelf. BUT not everyone is into frames, so I also took the idea and created a card instead!
So many of my paper crafting friends love cardmaking and sharing their talents with others. But I have several crafting pals that don’t send cards but love doing home decor pieces. These photos show you that it is possible to have both type of crafters gather together in one group by simply adapting projects!
Final Thoughts…..
It’s easy to look at a suite in our catalog and rule it out because we don’t care for the bundle associated with it. Try looking though with an open mind to other crafting possibilities. The DSP colors are perfect for spring holidays and baby cards!!! Many times I prefer the BACKSIDE of the DSP patterns – kind of like those old 45’s in our record collections from years ago when we flipped those records over! And whenever baker’s twine is included, I purchase multiple packs. You never know when you will want those little strings!!
Many years ago Pool Boy and I had a chance to go up in a hot air balloon in Pagosa Springs, CO. I will admit it was fun and exciting except climbing in and out of the basket! For once, I’m glad of that adulting thing which tells me “never do that again!” Until next time, take it easy my friends, stay inside and safe, and God Bless!
