Good morning everyone and welcome to APRIL!!!!! I’m so glad to be past the March winds and weird weather changes, and hopeful that Spring will finally kick in. Pool Boy is driving his mom home today so it’s Shelby the Canine Diva and myself here at the house until he returns early afternoon. We had a wonderful Easter weekend and now life returns to normal for a few days before we head to Destin, Florida to relax and enjoy sunshine and seafood.
Continuing With Spotlight On Nature!
This is one of my favorite stampsets in the new Annual Catalog! My preorder included multiple stampsets and bundles, but I keep turning to this one. At first glance this stampset seems to be rather basic – two greetings, one floral piece, one butterfly, one leafy branch, and a couple of small filler stamps. It’s not a WOW – GOTTA HAVE IT stampset, but the graceful lines and the simplistic pencil drawing effects creates a sublte beauty that you can use over and over and over.
I paired silver embossing with Boho Blue and Bubble Bath cardstocks, and used the same inks to add color to the embossed background. Look at that white label die on the front – it came from the Garden Meadows die set found in the Online Exclusives. I used the NEGATIVE of this die – the area around the cutout – during the retreat and have about 40 of these diecuts remaining. Don’t throw things like that out! In fact, it was that die cut label I used to design today’s card!
Let’s Have A Lesson On TWO DIFFERENT CLASS IDEAS!
I offer two different kinds of classes, and people get confused which is which, so let’s have a quick discussion about them – an ORDER BASED CLASS and a PRODUCT BASED CLASS!
An ORDER BASED CLASS is any class that I offer where the project is free with your minimum order from Stampin’ Up! YOU sign up for the class, I prepare your card/project kit, and you give me an order as payment. The key word is ORDER! You can order whatever you want, however much you want, and I provide everything you need to create the cards or project of the class- the stamps, inks, etc. This is the type of class most people offer as well.
A PRODUCT BASED CLASS is one where I PLACE THE ORDER FIRST, by deciding what items I want you to have to complete the projects. You will get your card kit or project included with the items I specify for the class. When you come to take the class I will give you a package of preordered supplies you use for your cards. At the end of the class, you take EVERYTHING home with you – the cards, the ordered products, everything – and you pay whatever the cost of the class is and that’s it. NO ORDER NEEDED at the end of class. The product I order for you are consumables – DSP, ribbon, gems, etc. – so you will have plenty to take home afterwards.
So your two words – ORDER and PRODUCT – are the key words explaining the type of class.
Tomorrow’s class will be a PRODUCT BASED CLASS! The Easter Sampler class was a PRODUCT BASED CLASS. The Green card class from last week was an ORDER BASED CLASS. Hopefully this make sense! Be sure to come back to see what fun class I have planned for you!
Until then, enjoy the day and be sure to include some time for crafting and creating! God Bless!
