We have been creating Christmas cards since June, and this month we are on our final Christmas Card Class!! Those participating have 40 Christmas cards crafted and finished, ready for signing and addressing!! Of course, I am still working on my pile (I usually cut 8 sets of each) but they are stamped and packaged and ready to go at a moment’s notice.
I grabbed a tote of my cards to work on at the Crop last week, and I finished up the remaining pile last night. Holidays get so hectic with the decorating, baking, wrapping, etc. so it’s a good feeling to have the cards made and off the list. I mean, HOW can you POSSIBLY send a purchased Christmas card as a papercrafter??? Sacrilegious!!!
By the last class, I looking at what DSP’s are remaining to use. The card above uses one of my favorite color combos of Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon, and I turned to the Winter Meadow to be the star of the show. I rarely stamp on DSP mats directly, but the mat above is perfect for the beautiful evergreen trees, giving it a soft, snowy background, don’t you think???
I added a second DSP strip on the left, embossed the DSP/white mat with the Painted Trees embossing folder, and added the Iridescent Faceted gems and the Silver and White Sheer ribbon (both favorites of mine!) to complete this beautiful card.
Christmas will be here before we know it, so knocking things off your holiday to-do list early helps you enjoy the festive time with less stress. Here’s hoping you can starting preparing for the Christmas season early so you can truly focus on the reason for the season. Until next time, God Bless!
