Have you ever had one of those weeks where you felt like you were barely keeping your head above water??? That totally describes my week with a home Chiefs game on Monday, Stamp ‘n Sip nights on Tuesday and Thursday, two days teaching, and heading back to KC for another game this weekend! Today has been a zoo with trying to get orders placed, suitcases repacked, while still trying to get blog posts together for the weekend! Thinking I’m about to go under for the third and final time!
Merging Items to Create New
Today’s card is all about working smarter, not harder though! How can I quickly take what is on my desk area and create something new and in a pinch? Currently, my desk is covered with sheets and scraps of the beautiful DSP Peaceful Place because of a card class I designed this week. I also have a stamp set I used for Stamp ‘n Sip, as well as the inks of Black, Balmy Blue, and Misty Moonlight laying out. I simply merged it all together – DSP, color combination, AND card layout – to create the card above and I love it!
An Odd Color Combo That Works!
The image of a small, snowed-in town is from the bundle Classic Cloche. I really do not care for the cloche die itself, but there are too many good, useable pieces in both the stamp set and dies. I have a series going for the Stamp ‘n Sip gals with a 3 inch frame and this worked perfectly! We used the Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight colors to stamp the snow scene which explains the ink! Layout and DSP from a card class, stamp set and inks from a Stamp ‘n Sip project, and when I merged it, you get the card for the blog entry! SMARTER NOT HARDER!!!

Final Thoughts….
Try practicing “work smarter, not harder” and not always reinventing the wheel! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
