By mid April I’m usually chompin’ at the bit to make a my greenhouse run for the many flowers I need for my containers and pots. I’ve made my detailed list of my “thrillers, fillers, and spillers” so I can be focused when looking and selecting plants. I’m pretty predictable when it comes to my selections because in my large pots – 6 in all – I love purple fountain grass (thriller), multiple coleus, (filler) and creeping jenny (spiller). My window boxes are always New Guinea impatiens, fiber optic grass, and creeping jenny again in BRIGHT colors. The rest of my containers change up, but those 6 large containers do not. They are my staples, and when we are in mid summer they are lush, full, and showy.
So have I made my list? Nope. Have I begun to get antsy to make the greenhouse run? Nope. This weather has stifled my gardening anticipation, but somewhere between now and Friday morning I’ve got to get excited cause to the greenhouse we go. Who knows, if my excitement doesn’t spring up Jim will be in for the lowest flower bill ever! That will shock him!!!
My Cards From Tuesday Night’s FB LIVE With Pam!

One of the new things in the Jan-June Mini Catalog are the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks. Last night was a great opportunity to experiment with them and I love how beautifully they turned out! These masks can be used with sponge daubers but I believe you will get the best smooth coverage with our blending brushes carried over to our new Annual Catalog that went live yesterday.
A Butterfly With Blushing Bride and Sweet Sorbet!

This is the second card I made with the masks. Love how the background masks fade out to white space on both of the cards. By starting in one spot and working out when adding the color (such as the middle of the white mat on the butterfly, the opposite corners on the flowers) the background takes on a softer, more muted image until it simply disappears.
The Link To Our FB LIVE!
I demonstrated both of these cards last night on our private group page with my friend Pam. We have been doing FB LIVES most Tuesday evenings for 2 years now. This group started with less than 50 members and are now several hundred strong. We would love for you to join us as well so click on the link below and ask to join – the more the merrier in our crafting community!

Final Thoughts ….
Somewhere in the next 48 hours I will have to get my container list started and my mind thinking flowers! I know with Mother’s Day weekend looming things are going to be fairly picked over soon so maybe I better call to be sure they have my 6 purple fountain grass. I would hate to have to rethink and redesign my big pots! Until next time, keep crafting, keep stamping, think FLOWERS, and God Bless!
