We’ve enjoyed our time with Fiona this week. It’s been busy because she jumps from one activity to another being the precocious 5 year old she is, but we’ve tried to roll with it. Currently she is playing paper dolls with Papa Pool Boy – he’s praying I get this post done quickly!!! LOL! She loves to go to our public library so we are heading there after this. Mom and Sis Nora are already heading our way so soon we can tag team with her.
For being such a picky eater she loves two things – chili and hot sauce!!! And not our hot sauce!!! She prefers a special brand that our store doesn’t carry and she doesn’t mind telling us “that’s the wrong one” when we pull out our bottle from the fridge. What 5 year old has a specific hot sauce as a preference????? Unfortunately we didn’t have chili but we had Pasta Fagoili like Olive Garden’s. She wasn’t sure about it at first but after the first bite we can now say she has a third favorite food – Papa’s Pagoili as she calls it. And she told us that you can’t even taste the veggies in it.
My Easter Card I Shared At Last Night’s Team Meeting!
Even though the Easter bunny punch has been on backorder for weeks and is not expected in until end of April at the earliest, it is still possible to create cards with the Easter Bunny stamp set! I stamped the bunny and grass on card stock, then cut out the bunny with our paper snips. I stamped a couple of grass sections on scrap paper then trimmed the tips of the grass blades out. This piece became my mat and I overlaid my mat on the grass, then stamped the eggs above, making the eggs look like they are laying in the grass. Using pastel blends such as Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, and So Saffron I colored in the images, then popped the bunny up with dimensionals.
Final Thoughts….
At our team meeting last night we looked at the Colorful Kaleidoscope Kit. If you’ve not checked this out please do so!! Such a gorgeouse kit with lined envelopes that you can make exactly like the directions say OR step out of the box and create by cutting apart to make your kit go farther. Stampin’ Up has upped our kit line to the point even avid stampers want to use them – they are not simply for new crafters!!! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
