Good morning and welcome to the weekend!!!! We have a quiet weekend ahead of us and I have to say I like it!! Jim had a busy week canning his delicious green lime pickles as well as freezing corn, so he deserves some definite down time. I’m in the middle of pulling out retired products for my BOGO sale next weekend as well, so his week WAS productive and hopefully my weekend WILL be equally so. It’s amazing how much product I can store in my craft room! But I’m determined to clean out, and hopefully my stuff will become someone else’s treasures!
Water Color Resist With Heat Embossing!

On our FB LIVE Wednesday night I demonstrated the technique of water color resist with heat embossing. I loved it so much, I wanted to try it again with blues and silver embossing. Loved how it turned out! I wanted to have 3 shades of color to work with, so I chose Night Of Navy, Balmy Blue, and Smoky Slate – not a blue color, but blended with Balmy Blue it gave me the third shade!
YouTube Channel Is Up And Growing!

I’m a very structured, methodical learner/worker. I’m not one to jump in and try to do everything at one time, especially building my paper crafting business. It’s add a step, master it, then add another step, master it, etc. Just like school! LOL Anyways, this summer I was ready to move into YouTube and began building my channel the end of May. It’s a process to upload videos but my channel is up and growing! You can view the video for the above card by clicking on the link below. While you are there, please subscribe to my channel please! FYI – editing is my next step and I’m not ready for that one yet!!!

Crafting With The Grands!

When the girls visit, we have lots of craft time using stamps, paper, and punches as well as doing simple kits with diamond painting and watercolors. This year they made candles at VBS, painted suncatchers, and of course the favorite slime – not at all my favorite because of the texture thing! Yuck!
I discovered a small craft business in a nearby town that had open painting sessions for kids of all ages. So one afternoon, we made an outing of painting and ice cream. Got to say, both were an absolute hit! They had a blast. Encourage little ones to craft with you! Whether the art media is paint, color, paper – there are so many ways to let them nurture their creative talents. By the time Nora was finished with her canvas painting, she had it titled “Night And Day” and the finished product even had the Big Dipper in the night sky! And here I thought it was going to be a black blob!
Until next time, feed your OWN creative soul and find some time craft. Stay cool, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
