If you have been following my blog these past few months you know I’m not one to sit and do nothing. You have no idea how I wish I can do just that – to be able to just relax and chill. It’s just not in my nature, and I can not tell you the number of times I heard my mom say “Lola, you have to slow down! You’re burning the candle at both ends!”
I started stamping 9 years ago BECAUSE I was looking for something to fill my time when I retired. Thank goodness for Stampin’ Up and the wonderful people I have connected with during those years! I’ve reconnected with past friends, created closer bonds with good friends, and met so many wonderful people who have enriched my life and have become some of my dearest friends. Again – Thank You Stampin’ Up!
Playing With Fresh Freesia!
I centered today’s card around the final drawing in the Live In The Moment stamp set from the upcoming mini catalog. Fresh Freesia isn’t a color I turn to often, but I specifically chose it for the softness of the color – rather relaxing! And what better way to relax than to read!
Creating a Book Mark Pocket!
By cutting my card base 5.5 by 10.25 inches, I was able to score the end at 1.75 inches and fold back to the inside of the card, creating a vertical pocket to insert a small bookmark!
Final Thoughts …..
With this weekend being our family’s Christmas celebration I’m going to do exactly what this stamp set says, and live in the moment! I will be off line on my blog until Monday morning. I’m NOT promising to stay off FB – being a multi tasker, I can post AND cuddle with the granddaughters! Chiefs have an away game tonight, so no running to Kansas City for football. I will slow down for a few days, enjoy being with our family, and live in the moment.
I can hear my mom say “I’ll believe it when I see it”! You and me both Mom!
Until Monday, keep stamping, keep crafting, live in the moment, and God Bless!
