I must have self-consciously felt guilty after doing nothing yesterday besides reading, going to the pool, and relaxing because I want you to know I finished TWO kits today that I thought were going home unopened!! We finally made it to the Red Rock Canyon scenic drive – along with a large number of Vegas tourists – and it was an awesome park to visit! We stopped for a late lunch at Naked City Pizza and had the Rebel pizza with double ham and bacon, pepperoni, and italian sausage. SO good but SO spicy!! Pool Boy said he’ll be ready for a quarter pounder with cheese on the way home – told you!!! He’s ready for a McD’s after this week!
A Past Paper Pumpkin Kit – But There Is Reason To My Madness!!
Even though this kit is currently NOT available in the retired Paper Pumpkin section of the online store, I still wanted to share it with you – for a couple of reasons!!!! Several times throughout the year the Paper Pumpkin kits COORDINATE with current products from our catalogs!!!! You should recognize the blue patterns as coming from the Countryside Inn DSP, AND the labels that match the Countryside Corners dies. When kits like this happen you can go to your supplies and continue to create cards very similar to those above by using your coordinating products.
The included stampset – and the add on die of the vase that was offered – will be added to my Countryside Corners bundle case once I get home for future use. And here is another item to file for future reference! Even though this kit was not available this week when Stampin’ Up added retired kits to the Paper Pumpkin tab, it may well be in the future!!! In July or August of 2022, we had this incredible sunflower kit – it was stunning! – AND THIS WEEK they had the sunflower kits in the online store! They sold out in less than 24 hours!!!! It pays to keep an eye on Paper Pumpkin past kits/refills people! Even if YOU do not have a Paper Pumpkin subscription, I DO, and I can pick them up for you!!! Keep that in mind! After I shared the fun fold beach cards I had three gals reach out to me to order refills!
Red Rock Canyon Scenery!
The following pictures are from our drive today. We visited with a couple from Jordan and they were loving the red rock scenery because it reminded them of Petra which is located in their country. They were thousands of miles away, yet they found similar rock formations that reminded them of home. And you know me – by the time I was done visiting I knew they had been married 43 years, had three sons and two daughters, and were visiting their niece who lives in Vegas. HONEST!!! FYI – he took our picture for us!
Final Thoughts…
If you ever find yourself out in Las Vegas AND have a car try to find time to check out Red Rock Canyon. Beautiful rock formations and colo. We live in a country full of scenic variety don’t we??? Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!!
