I’m up early, packing for today’s 1st Christmas Card Class. Here’s hoping that wintery cards embellished with sleds, snowflakes, presents, etc. will put us all in a cooler mood, what with the temps spiking close to 100 degrees! Did you know that I could gladly make Christmas cards and tags every month of the year??? Christmas is my favorite holiday with the trees, the decorations, the music, everything! We start putting trees up by the 2nd week of November and they will stand through the entire month of January, shining with lights from morning til night. And here’s hoping that thinking about Christmas today will help me stay cool while I’m out watering the flowers!
Yesterday I shared my Patriotic Sampler on my FB LIVE. It IS possible to create Patriotic projects by using your products in creative ways. Last year I shared some Patriotic cards in the same manner. Don’t limit yourself or your crafting supplies – feel free to use your stamps, dies, decorative paper in ways OTHER than what was originally intended!!! Doing so opens up all sorts of possibilities! Here are my cards from last year that deserve a second viewing!
By using my cardstock choices to create the Patriotic theme on these cards, I’m able to use punches, dies, and stamps in ways other than intended. The greetings above were meant for birthdays and Christmas, but they work, don’t they!?!?!
So, step outside of our traditional card making, try different things, and stamp up some Patriotic cards to mail out before next week’s Independence Day celebrations! I’ll be back tomorrow to share a monthly series of inserts for one of my favorite frames – straight from Amazon. Until next time, have a wonderful day, stay cool and hydrated, and God Bless!
