It was one of those nights where you lay there, waiting to go to sleep, wishing you could go to sleep, aggravated you can’t sleep, so the best thing to do is simply get up and craft! LOL! I guess my mind was focussed on getting ready to today’s post and class because I went to my craft room and in 30 minutes put this card together, headed back to bed, and finally to sleep.
Letting The Rhino Be The Star Of The Show!
I’m on a roll pairing the Festive And Fun stamp set along with the Merry, Bold And Bright DSP. When I’m designing for a card class, I usually have to purchase 4 or 5 packages of a DSP to have enough pages of specific patterns. So, when you are prepping and cutting you save every strip possible to use at a later date. The Fa La La strip on the Rhino was left over from prepping for my Grandkids’ class today. I could have simply pitched that 1 1/4 inch strip but it was perfect for this card by rotating the layout. Are you like that as well??? I save those strips for further projects, because I know the Christmas Tag Class is coming up in November, and I can’t wait to dive into the scrap pile to create those tags!!! You need to get every possible use out of the DSP.
And the embellishments on the Rhino card???? Wonder where those glittery snowflakes came from????? I paired the frosted white adhesive back glitter sequins with the adhesive backed snowflake sequins together!!!! Perfect to make those snowflakes pop around the festive rhino!!!

Final Thoughts….
Today is our final class for October, and our Retreat is just around the corner. Pool Boy has hit “soup weather” mode and has a crockpot of vegetable soup going for tonight, and planning chili first of next week. With the retreat the first weekend of November, Christmas tree decorating the second weekend, and our family’s early Thanksgiving celebration on the 3rd weekend November will be over in the blink of an eye for us. I do love this time of year though – early nights, cooler weather so not as much outside work to do, and the move towards the winter season. Have a blessed day and I hope you find some time to craft, create and play!
