Life has been hectic these past couple of days so when that happens, there is no ink going onto card stock! With some travel days ahead, we have been busy stuffing as many activities as possible in these few days before we leave. Keep in mind, I HAD a schedule planned and am trying hard to hold on to it, but let’s up the game, shall we? Here is a glance of what we have been doing!
Babysitting Grandson Cal!
Look at those eyes! How can you possibly say “no” to taking care of Cal a couple of days because his daycare is closed while teachers get ready for the start of school??? He is such a joy to have, BUT one busy little boy now that he can crawl! Papa Jim (Pool Boy to most of you) and Nana Lola spent the day tagteaming to keep up with him WHILE also trying to keep the schedule going as well! And goodness, our house isn’t baby-friendly like it use to be!!
Prepping For Christmas Card Class #2!
Our Christmas Card Class #2 will be in the books right before we leave, and that means lots of prepping for both the in-person as well as the mailed kits. Here is just a portion of the prep work, and there are still a couple of dies to run and all of the DSP pieces to be cut as well! ALL WHILE WE JUGGLE CAL! I’ll finish up this morning since Cal is home with Mom and Dad, then tomorrow’s schedule includes typing the tutorial, Monday is all about bagging and packaging, and we will be ready for class and the post office on Tuesday!
Throwing In Freezer Corn!!!
We had a few empty hours in the schedule so Jim decided let’s put up some frozen creamed corn as well! We’ve always put up corn during the summer when it’s available, but our friend Arlene shared her mom’s creamed corn recipe with us last year, and it is delicious!! So yes, in between everything else, let’s add creamed corn to the list! If you could taste though, you would also agree it’s worth the work! The picture above is today’s work, then it’s all finished.
Preorder Arrival and Catalogs As Well!
And last, most of my holiday preorders have arrived, along with a kit class, a kit project for the Veteran’s Home, AND catalogs, with more arriving Monday. All of this stash has to be opened and ready to add to my stamping inventory. Catalogs will be available for pick up now through Tuesday night, and Tuesday morning catalogs will be shipped out to those requesting them. It’s been a busy few days, AND several busy days ahead but ALL of it worth it!!! So forgive me if I’ve not had any beautiful or cute stamped projects this week. Fingers crossed I can grab an hour or two tonight or tomorrow, so we are ready for our Monday FB LIVE! Until then, have a great weekend everyone, and God Bless!!!
