Happy Father’s Day!!!! You may think I’m way late since this probably won’t post in your email until Monday, but since I’m typing Sunday night I’m still good! After church this morning, Pool Boy, Pool Boy’s mom, and I left for a short trip in Branson. Do we have big plans??? Nope! We have tickets to Queen Esther one night, we are talking about checking out the Top Of The Rock tour, a bit of shopping, a bit of eating out, and a bit of ice cream at night. Swimming, napping, and just kicking back for a few days away.
Does that sound boring?? Are you one who likes to schedule something everyday of vacation?? Tours? Activities?? I do that as well, but sometimes laid back and easy going works well too!
Today at church we celebrated our fathers in the congregation and every dad received one of these beautiful gifts that Chris designed. Chris took this job on earlier this year with our Mother’s Day gifts and I so appreciated her sharing her talents with our church famiy.
Aren’t these awesome gifts??? Love the creativity and time she put into these gifts. She took strips of cardstock which are scored in the middle (I’m betting two score lines that are about 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch apart), stamped the fish images on the cardstock, then ran the lures, bobbers, fish, and banners. Lots of work but I know they are appreciated!!!
I posted her Mother’s Day gifts back in May, but just in case you missed it, didn’t she do a great job on these as well?? Same gift ideas, but each perfect for the recipient!
So, do you use your paper crafting talents for simple gifts such as these to share with others??? These little gifts may seem simple but gifts created from the heart are the best. Whether you create a giftbox of greeting cards, maybe sweet treats to hand out (this is something our friend RoseMary enjoys doing!), or a sampler or framed art piece as a gift – these gifts mean so much. So, find some time this week to craft, create, and share your talents with others. Thank you Chris for sharing your talents with so many!!! Until next time keep crafting, keep stamping, and God Bless!!!
