We ended up cancelling our trip with our daughter’s family to Branson this weekend and instead they came to us! Everyone has different time frames for putting up the Christmas tree or trees, but in our family everything is up and fully decorated the week before Thanksgiving. That way we could enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday break without the hassle of pulling everything out as well. Now my dad on the other hand thought it would be great if you could pull it out the day before the family comes home, and put it away the day after! And he really wished he could just leave it fully decorated, cover with a plastic bag to protect and leave it up in storage! I’m sure by now people can do that!
Having been laid low for a couple of weeks I had no idea how I was going to get our trees up, so I’m so thankful our daughter and the grands came to do the heavy work! Trees all up with lights, three of them fully decorated and that just leaves me 2 trees to decorate before Thanksgiving. And we even enjoyed decorating sugar cookies Friday night.

So was I absent from the craft room? Yes I was. I enjoyed every cuddle and hug, every funny comment that came out of their mouths, and we miss them already. There will be time for crafting tomorrow. Thanks for understanding! Until then, God Bless, and Thank You God for family and especially little ones!
