Sparkle Of The Season

I love the season of fall – it’s such a relief from the hot temperatures of summer, with the Missouri humidity and then the long month of August without rain. Don’t get me wrong – I love summer too! But by the end of the heat, humidity, and lack of moisture I’m ready for a definite break. I love the cooler evenings, the shorter days, and the crisp chill of the mornings. Saturday night I noticed one of my neighbors had a firepit lit – one more sign that the seasons are changing. Good thing I live in Missouri where we have such a variety of seasons and weather!

The Beauty of Sparkle Of The Season:

This week’s focus is on the Sparkle Of The Season Bundle in the mini holiday catalog. This bundle is certainly packed with variety too – greetings, images, and dies for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and also Christmas! A very versatile set indeed!

Today’s card is an easel fun fold. I paired the Blackberry Beauty DSP with Blackberry Bliss cardstock, cut at 4.25 x 11 inches. Score at 2.75 inches as well as 5.5 inches. The Brushed Metallic Gold mat from the Brushed Metallic card stock pack picks up the gold leaves in the DSP.

The wrapped vines created by the dies makes quick work of creating a grapevine wreath. I layered two different metallic pieces – the bottom one is the Brushed Metallic Copper, the top one is the Brushed Metallic Gold – to add interest and dimension to the card front. To make the greeting pop I first adhered a circle cut with the Layered Circle dies to the DSP, then glued the wreath piece on top, covering the edge of the circle.

By adding a small piece of Very Vanilla to the middle section of the card I was able to have a small place for a message without affecting the beauty of the easel card with a signature on the label cut with the Tasteful Label dies.
