Stampin’ Up!’s FLASH SALE Has Begun!

I’ve another busy day with appointments today, and Pool Boy has appointments tomorrow – WHEN did we move into the “fill your calendar with appointments” era????? I use to laugh when I walked by my mom and dad’s wall calendar in the kitchen because it was full of written messages AND all of the appointment cards were stapled to the side! They use to refer to it as their “social calendar” and now our calendar looks the same (minus the stapled cards!)

I carry a calendar/journal that I special order that follows the Stampin’ Up! year – October through September. I know that’s odd but it works for me and my business and it’s never a problem UNTIL I have those last couple of months where I have to carry both the old and new calendars because of looking ahead to Oct., Nov., etc. for upcoming appointments. I’ve tried the whole google calendar on my phone, but I’m just an oldie who prefers paper and pen/pencil to technology. So which do you prefer – the old paper calendar or the one on your phone/tablet????

I’m working my way through my DSP stash, and this month I turned to the package of A Little Christmas for help. I usually prefer small prints so I’m thankful Stampin’ Up! adds a suitable pattern on the reverse sides of their DSP. This narrow stripe appealed to me from the beginning with the Mossy Meadow and Smoky Slate colors. There is a similar pattern included in the package with Cherry Cobbler and Smoky Slate as well. The smaller prints usually allow you to use the paper for something other than the intended design. This paper has lots of Christmas images, BUT can’t you see the strip above as a man’s birthday card? In fact, change the greeting and you have a man’s winter birthday card as is!

I paired the DSP with two additional stamp sets – Welcome Noel and Graceful Evergreen Deer. Never heard of the second one? It’s part of the Hot Foil stamp/die collection. Maybe the hot foil process doesn’t appeal to you, but still check out the materials. There are multiple stamp sets that work perfectly without investing in the new crafting system. Be sure to check it out often for products!

The STAMP SET FLASH SALE began this morning!!!! Be sure to check the online store for those stamps reduced in price by 15%. Do keep one thing in mind – many of the stamp sets comes as bundles as well. Bundles of stamps/dies are currently reduced by 10%. If you purchase them separately with the Flash Sale price for the stamp set plus the regular price of the dies you actually may be paying more than the bundle price. Sales are a good thing BUT you have to pay attention!!

Tomorrow is our In Person HALLOWEEN EASEL CARD Class beginning at 1:30 at the Zion Lutheran Church. And Chris and a special guest will be covering the FB Live on Thursday night for our group page. Friday I’ll be working on the September Christmas Card class prep and then it’s the weekend with another home game for the Chiefs. We are hoping this one we will be able to attend.
