Final Thoughts….

The picture above is three generation of Rist’s. Yes, I know you can’t see faces, but I love the view of Pool Boy and son Evan watching Jim’s dad working on our deck. The quality of photos so long ago are poor compared to even our cell phones today, but the message lives on – two younger generations watching and observing and learning. Pool Boy’s father Ronnie was a wonderful example of an awesome father and when Pool Boy lost his dad he also lost his best friend. Pool Boy himself could not have been a better father, and he is nurturing the grandchildren in the same way.
Although our son Evan has few memories of his grandfather because of his age when Ronnie passed, he is following in the examples of his dad and grandpa and is such a great dad to his two little boys. I’m so very thankful for the guidance, the love, the nurturing of the father figures in our lives. And I’m so very thankful for these three generations of Rist’s. And the next ones growing!
Happy Father’s Day weekend to all! Until next week, God Bless!
