Last week was totally packed with appointments, classes, regular activities, AND if you throw in the 2024 Spring Retreat, it was jam-packed! We had a wonderful group of friends gathering, crafting, creating, and crafting. Some came for two days, some came for one, some were there from start to finish, others popped in and out as their schedule allowed. There were old friends, new friends, sisters, cousins, neighbors – a great group of friends who enjoyed being together!
Most were from the surrounding areas and towns around Macon, but some drove longer distances, such as Springfield and Jefferson City. And some couldn’t attend in person and chose to have their retreat mailed, so they will be crafting at home in their leisure! All in all, it was a wonderful couple of days!

We built our make and takes around the gorgeous DSP Meandering Meadows which is only found in our online store under the “Online Exclusives” tab. Aren’t these cards beautiful??? And actually very easy to make, simply add a greeting of your choice and assemble! If you have yet to pick up a package of this paper you need to do so soon!!!! Our greetings came from the stamp set “So Sincere”.

Every participant received the goodies packaged above – 8 make and takes with the full color picture tutorial, a package of the Meandering Meadow DSP, linen thread, and the Adhesive Back Birds and Dragonflies to complete their make and takes. Goodies included a full package of dimensionals, the Sweet Thoughts Memories and More Card/Envelope packs, and a box of treats as well.
Final Thoughts….
Today I am prepping for my last card class in March, and tomorrow we will be gathering at church to assemble the beautiful Easter sampler for our senior church members. Everything is cut, embossed, colored, and it is totally ready to go so all we need to do is simply assemble!!! There will be some of us busy on the samplers, other ladies will be busy sewing on quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Just another day of ladies crafting and creating together!!
Be sure to come back tomorrow to see the post on the Easter Sampler. It is stunning. Those Easter lily dies are on back order but I’ve had enough people asking if I would offer a class in it AFTER EASTER so I’m figuring out the cost and how to make it available. Until tomorrow, have a great day doing whatever makes you happy, and God Bless!
