Beautiful Quilts From A Year Of Service!
Aren’t these pictures beautiful?? This was the view that greeted me yesterday morning when I arrived to practice at church. These beautiful quilts were sewn with love by the ladies of our congregation as a year long service project for Lutheran World Relief. The ladies completed 59 quilts this year that will be shipped later this week, and then distributed as needed throughout the United States along with the countries of the world – wherever aid is needed due to catastropies or disasters. The funds for these quilts began with grants from Thrivent Mutual Funds, but monies and materials are donated as well. They were lovingly displayed in the sanctuary, then blessed by our minister to provide comfort to those receiving.
I’ve tried my hand at cutting material for them, and truly I need to stick with what I know best – paper!!! Over fifty quilts made with just one day monthly of meeting and sewing is amazing work, and even though there is no card stock, die cuts, stamps, and ink involved, I thought you would enjoy seeing the results of their labors.

And I’m ending today with a picture of this cutie!!! Ben will be one year old on Oct. 24 which is just around the corner. He thinks he’s a big boy standing and pushing his little walker around, and it won’t be long til he let’s go and take steps. He’s has several words already and I’m sure he will qualify for gifted at the appropriate age, don’t you think?? LOL!!!
