Today’s post will be swift since both Pool Boy and I have appointments this morning. FYI – my kitchen is Christmas-free, deep cleaning was done yesterday, pantry was NOT done yet. That remains a project for another day when we are not running to appointments. This afternoon the sunroom tree is gonna be stripped of the Lola ornaments. I have plans how I go about taking down Christmas and will share with you another day.
I want to share a couple of PAST projects using the note cards as a way to help others. These pictures were from 3-4 years ago where some friends and I stamped and folded 500 notecards – 25 packages! – in different shades of pink with messages of thanks. We packaged groups of 10 cards/envelopes in celophane bags, then sealed them up with a cute bag topper. 50 packages of note cards were distributed to area cancer centers during the month of October so they could distribute to their breast cancer patients. They had notecards to send to caregivers, those who provided transportation, emotional support, etc without having to leave their home to purchase cards. A simple card and a simple project that can be a way to help others.
Here’s a picture of another note card project where cards were stamped for families in hospice. Again, 500 cards stamped and packaged, but this time with messages appropriate to send to medical support members, pastors, those bringing food, etc. during the difficult time. The above picture shows the cards packaged in the celophane bag with a topper. These bags fit neatly in a paper copier box, ready to distribute!
Projects like these only take a couple of hours by using a repositioning tool such as a Misti and several friends to share the stamping load. Easy to package, easy to close, but a blessing to both the giver and receiver.
I’ll be back tomorrow to share more favorite new labels dies that are in the Spring Mini Catalog!!! They should DEFINITELY be on your wish list!!! Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
