The Cutest Crew Bundle For Comfort

Pool Boy and I had a quick trip to St. Louis yesterday to see our granddaughter Nora in her 5th grade musical. We spent 3 hours on the road driving, spent 2 hours total in St. Louis to visit with her parents and see the show, then 3 hours back on the road to home. Four songs, 30 minute long show, lots of hugs and thank you’s for coming and worth every mile, every minute of the time on the road. A Couple of pics are below of her and Fiona from the distance. It was backwards day for Spirit Week so that explains why Fi’s hat is turned around. The hair lock is because she thought she might want bangs several weeks ago. Not a good choice since it’s going to take weeks for that lock to grow out. That’s our Fi!

For those who are not big fans of pets you probably think a sympathy card is silly, but those little fur babies leave big holes in our hearts when they pass. This card was for our daughter in law Rachel who recently lost her cat Banana to cancer.

I paired the Cutest Crew with the greeting from Prayers and Promises to create the card. The color combo is Crumb Cake and Poppy Parade from the Made With Love DSP. To color in the kittens I started with the Crumb Cake blends, but then also used the flesh tone blends for different shades. These blends are now sold as combo packs on page 77 of the May-August catalog. You rarely will see me feature one of the stamp sets with people, but I do like the shade varieties offered with these blends! The square dies are from the set Joyful Frames.

These are certainly not great pics, but trying to zoom in on the girls without featuring others makes for blurry pics.

I’ll be back tomorrow to share a tip with a die cut from the cat card above. I made a mistake with a die, and was able to fix it without running another!
