One of my technique choices to share with my Techniques class was the floating frame idea. I shared this technique on this page earlier this year, and loved the simplicity of the card. It’s very easy to do as long as you have DSP or card stock strips, window sheets, and dimensionals.
Cut your DSP or card stock selections into 1/2 inch strips. Using liquid glue attach every piece to the front of a window sheet panel spacing out to allow the window sheet to be visible. Since mine is cut out with a circle die cut I started with a 4 inch square of both DSP and window sheet. When cutting with the die cut machine, be sure you run it through several times to cut completely through. Before attaching to the card front, place your dimensionals behind the DSP strips so they are not visible from the card front which creates the illusion of the circle floating on the card front surface!
