Well, it was just last night on our group FB LIVE – Stamp. Ink. Paper – Creating With Pam And Lola – that I was saying how badly we need it to rain, and our friend Anne from Vermont reminded us to be careful what we wish for, because Vermont had an excessive amount of rainfall one month. Anne, you were right! We have had almost 4 inches of rain in 24 hours!!! Other areas around received over 5 inches, and there is still more to come. BUT we live beside a state park with a huge lake that has been really low, so hopefully this will raise it some. The grass is always greener on the other side – and with over 4 inches, it will be greener here soon! LOL
Today at our Techniques class we worked with the Fracture Card Front technique. I shared the card with the group last night as well, so IF I can access the link to the group through my husband’s FB I will post the link below. Evan came for dinner tonight and I asked if he wanted to try FB again, and he said we are letting it sit until the weekend. He obviously got his patience from his father and not me!!!!
Using The Quiet Meadow Stamp Set For Our Fracture Technique!
I went with the color combo of Moody Mauve, Basic Black, and Basic White when designing the card. The white diamond in the middle needed a small stamped image to color with blends, so I pulled out the Quiet Meadows stampset and luckily there were a couple of great background stamps. The solid color sheets in this DSP are too flat for me, so I added tone on tone stamping for variety and interest. Earlier this spring, I used embossing folders to add interest and texture to the solid patterns. This is a personal preference because others may be happy with the DSP standing alone. Whatever works for you is the best choice, right?
Our Group Page Link!!! Fingers Crossed!
If you would like to see how I went about creating the Fracture Technique, click on the link below to access last night’s recording. We may have to see if Pam can accept new requests but we will try to respond soon!
