Pool Boy and I were visiting another church for a baby dedication on Mother’s Day and I totally forgot about the gifts Chris Howe created for our church moms! This past Sunday I was able to snag one of these goodies and I want to share Chris’s talents with you. She always packages the cutest gifts to honor moms, dads, grads, and grandparents throughout the year. Many of the ladies in our church use their talents to help others – be it making lap throws for Lutheran mission work, creating cards for our church card ministry, and also making meals for our elderly church family members weekly.

This year’s gift included magnetic bookmarks for our church ladies. Do you find your DSP and retired card stock piling up??? Not Chris, because she goes through her supplies finding just the right products to use for packaging. I believe she used Starry Sky card stock for these gifts – a color that is retired, but she was able to gather enough and it was perfect for the magnet colors!

Here are a couple more views of her gifts she created. Thank you Chris for sharing your talents with our church family! And great job of using your retired stash by pairing it with current products as well!!!!
Be thinking how you can share your paper crafting talents with others! Service projects are a rewarding opportunity for the recipient as well as yourself! Maybe create some cards for a local nursing home or hospital. How about a quick thank you to teachers who are still wrapping up the school year. Even consider going to a retirement center or senior center and offering to create a couple of cards with them for a social event. We all remember the excitement of making our first card – share the opportunity with someone else!
FYI – in 2027 Stampin’ Up! announced they will be having a color refresh, and I’m hoping Starry Sky will be included in the color change! And another possibility – Soft Succulent! That was one of my favorites as well. Any special color you are hoping for????
I’ll be back Wednesday with another project, but until then think about how you can share your talents with others through a service project. I promise – you will enjoy it! Take care, and God Bless!
