We had a great day fishing for walleye on Lake Erie today. It was a long 6 hours on the water, and we were 25 miles out from Port Clinton, Ohio but the lake was smooth as glass, no humidity, mid 70’s, and so relaxing. It’s a rarity to see me sit for that long without something going – crafting, reading, phone, etc. But with little to no reception I was forced to do just that. And the earth did not stop, life did not end the way I know it, and I need to be more willing to experience days like today!
Guess who caught the FIRST FISH??????? I would have been fine it had been my only one but our guide Kenny was having none of that. I believe I caught three or four, lost that many reeling them in, and that was enough for me. Pool Boy Jim and Pool Boy’s friend Keith caught twins at the exact time – no, not twins really BUT they were both the same size and length at 23.5 inches, so they just as well have been – and that was when they decided they were returning to Lake Erie fishing versus South Dakota.
Today’s post is a short one since currently the room and computer are rocking like the boat, and we will see what tomorrow brings. The forecast shows high winds tomorrow so if that’s the case, our fishing is finished. Plan B is to take the ferry to Put In Bay – yes, that is the name – and visit the island by golf carts. Whatever tomorrow brings, we will have a good time I know.
I’ll be back tomorrow to share another card with new products coming from the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG! Until then, keep crafting, keep stamping, and God Bless!
