Good morning everyone!!!! Here’s hoping you had an enjoyable weekend. Our snow from Friday is just about gone, and from my sunroom I can see daffodil greens about 2 inches tall, so we are beginning to have color in our landscape, ending the several gray months of winter. Within a month I will be walking the yard daily searching for new clues for spring – the lily of the valley patch greening up, the spears of my varigated Solomon Seal pushing through, the red tips of the peonies showing. Truly my favorite season!
Adorning Hearts Hybrid Folder Isn’t JUST For RED Hearts!
Last year Stampin’ Up gave us a great Shamrock stamp set and punch and that is such a rarity for them, I’m holding on to them both for dear life! Everything used above is current in our catalogs, and by using the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder – CURRENTLY on the BACK ORDER LIST! – I’m able to create a great shamrock too! Check out the embossed background mat behind the shamrock. That is the Distressed Tile embossing folder that I inked with a brayer before running through the cut and emboss machine! This is one of my favorite folders because it looks somewhat Celtic, especially with Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam cardstock and ink.
I added the detailed dies on the hearts by first adhering cardstock to the adhesive sheet, then running the die. The adhesive sheets have a thin layer of glue sandwiched between two layers of paper, so simply run the die, then carefully remove the backing to expose the adhesive and adhere. There is a learning curve to adhesive sheets, and I would recommend NOT using any larger cardstock then needed!

Stampin’ Up has been creating hybrid bundles for several years but this is probably the best one by far. Currently, it’s on the Back Order list BUT it will be returning so as soon as it is back in stock I will be posting!!!! I have several customers waiting on it’s arrival and I know others are as well because of it’s popularity. Final Thoughts…..
So, with the little peeks of Spring showing outside, I’m also getting this urge to do some spring cleaning as well!!! Believe me, I’m TRYING to RESIST!!! I’m trying to carve out 45-60 minutes daily to declutter closets, dresser drawers, etc. Yesterday I spent some time decluttering my craft room, and I don’t know why because by the end of the week I’ll have to repeat it!!!! Doesn’t matter though, getting rid of “stuff” makes us feel lighter, right???? I will continue to do a little spring cleaning daily and my reward will be treating myself to some craft time also.
