With the end of October just days away I’ve been studying my calendar because we have a busy November coming up. My friend Pam Cosby and I will be attending the On Stage event in Arlington, TX one weekend and we are taking the granddaughters – and their parents – to Branson to enjoy the Christmas lights so throw in Thanksgiving and before you know it, November will be gone as well!
Mid November I always begin putting up my Christmas trees – yep, plural. It’s a sickness! LOL!! I don’t look forward to digging them all out and setting them up, but once they are up they are lit from early morning to bed time. I purchased a few too many ornaments while we were travelling in Europe so those will be added to our treasured collection. There is a story behind most of our ornaments and I love pulling them out and hanging them in just the right place. They have come from former students and peers, family members, our travels, and ones that I’ve painted over the years. I rarely paint now but I do try to add a couple of ornaments each year for our children and grandchildren and a couple of dear friends. The first time I saw the stamp set Trimming The Tree it made my wish list – in honor of our trees!
Loving The Cherry Cobbler And Soft Succulent Combo!!
Such an easy card but I love how it turned out! The Scalloped Contours dies add a simple touch of elegance and the beauty of the Christmas tree stamp takes center stage!
The Scalloped Contours Continue Inside The Card!
Try this trick to add variety to the inside of your cards!!! By cutting a Basic White scalloped label panel I substituted it for the traditional 5.25 by 4 inch panel then hid it from view by covering it completely with the Cherry Cobbler scalloped panel on the card front!
Final Thoughts….
We finished our Christmas Card Class series last night by meeting the 4th time. Participants who attended all 4 sessions since we started in July ended up with 32 Christmas cards with 16 different designs. Here it is end of October and our cards can be checked off the Christmas Preparation list!!!!! Our next class will be Christmas tags and we will be well on our way to getting into the Christmas spirit!! Have you started your Christmas prep too??
Until next time, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!!!
