Turning a Card into A Gift Packaging Ensemble!

Today’s post is a bit late so many of you may not receive it by email until Saturday and for that I’m sorry! I had a sampler video class to post first thing and after a hectic week of groups at our house I stayed up until midnight straightening and putting things away in preparation of our granddaughters’ visit this weekend. Since we will be spending quality time with the girls WITHOUT parents – while the parents are away the grands will play!! – I will not be back to post until Monday. Papa Jim and I have truly embraced the saying “whatever happens at papa and nana’s STAYS at papa and nana’s so who knows what we will get into!!!” LOL

Gift Packaging With Stampin’ Up Products!!!

Didn’t this gift ensemble turn out cute?? All it took was a small gift bag from Dollar Tree, one piece of tissue paper, a paper clip and a few symmetry leaf punches to put this together!!!
With a few strips of Calypso Coral and the Sweet Symmetry paper I glued together a banner about 1 inch shorter than the bag. I inserted the banner piece into the Tailored Tag punch, centered and punched the flagged end to the banner.
I attached the banner to the sack front with tear and tape (snail adhesive will not be strong enough) BUT left a space with NO TAPE on the right side of the banner. I was able to slip in a paper clip on the banner and then clip that cute twisted gate fold card to the front to EMBELLISH THE BAG! No envelope needed! To cover the head of the paperclip I punched a 1/2 inch circle in night of navy and then added 2-3 sprigs from the symmetry punch with glue dots. To tie in the sprigs I also added a few under the circle label on the card.
Did you know you can stamp directly onto TISSUE PAPER????? Super easy and fast drying, and it doesn’t have to be perfect because hello – it’s TISSUE PAPER and will be pulled out!!!
Whole thing came together in less than 30 minutes MINUS that card!!! Super cute, and super coordinating for a special gift presentation!!!

With the girls coming we are going to get every snuggle and kiss we can so I will be missing in action until Monday morning!
