Today is one of those “lots of places to go, little time to do it!” days with errands, a card session at church as well as a book study. Pool Boy has assumed the recliner position at this time, BUT he will be on his way as well with the house cleaner coming. That leaves poor Shelby, the canine diva, at home with the house cleaner Kait -who she loves – and the vacuum- which she doesn’t love. She will be a nervous wreck wandering the house trying to stay far away from the sweeper. She’s had a rough time of it recently, what with the roofers then the men installing new gutters. She spent three days with our son and his family while we were travelling this past weekend. There she was probably stalked by Spaghetti the cat who is as big as she is. Poor gal – she deserves a quite week, don’t you think?

So I needed a card quickly today – nothing fancy, nothing loaded with product – because what is important is what I write INSIDE the card, not the front. I quickly turned to Blackberry Bliss and silver foil for the colors, the distressed brick embossing folder for the basic white panel, and the Timeless Arrangement dies for the label and the silver branches. Add a touch of embellishment with the pearls and the sheer silver edged ribbon – which if you have not seen it CHECK IT OUT AGAIN! – and my card came together within minutes.
Final Thoughts…
We all love the gorgeous dies and layers of color, but sometimes we get wrapped up on what the front looks like more than the inside. Turn to your products and try creating simple and understated cards and remember – what counts is that you sent the card and what you wrote for the message.
Until next time, keep crafting and God Bless.
