We were suppose to visit our daughter’s family this week but due to to the weather conditions we pushed it off to next week. Thankfully, we are still ahead of Valentine’s Day since I told Nora and Fiona – aka our granddaughters! – we would make treats for their classrooms! With a couple of hours work yesterday I am completely packed and ready to go for a low-stress hour or two of crafting with our girls!
When I started this paper crafting journey, I had two goals in mind – to connect/reconnect with others, and to use my crafting for my granddaughters. Teaching over 25 years in a district outside of where I lived meant that so many of my friends and people were 30 miles from my home. When I retired I knew I would need to connect with others in my area and Stampin’ Up! was the perfect way to do so. I’ve been blessed to meet so many new faces that I may never have known without connecting through paper crafting. These ladies are dear friends and I treasure each and everyone. Such a blessing!
Sharing Fun Treat Ideas With The Granddaughters!

and retired product is perfect to use for this!
As a mom and teacher, I was never able to play the role of “room mother” other than sending treats. I was determined to use my crafting to provide treats for my grandchildren to take and have done so since they were babies in their daycare facility, through preschool, and now in elementary for Nora.
Prepping Ahead Makes For Less Supplies To Pack!

I could have loaded down a big bag with cutter, punches, card stock packs, etc. but keep in mind the age you are working with! At 4, Miss Fiona’s attention span is short and we have 20 packages to make! I have everything ready so all we need to do is drop in the shovel and treat, and tie on the heart. And I bet she still doesn’t make it past half of them before she’s finished and eating M and M’s! Nora’s job will be adhering the greeting and whales to the tags, then again filling the treats. Doing as much prep as you can ahead of time makes the activity less stressful for everyone!
Using Your Crafting To Share With Others!
For the next few days I’m going to share ways of blessing others with your crafting. Part of the entire journey of paper crafting is not just the creating but it’s also the giving and sharing with others! As I said earlier this week – a homemade gift from the heart is priceless! Until tomorrow, keep crafting, keep stamping, and God Bless!
