When I started on my papercrafting journey 12 years ago, one of the first things I did was search for card sketches to help me with my card making layouts. I needed guidance how to proceed with my creations, so I turned to those who posted diagrams for card layouts to help me since I was so unsure how to start. I remember saving every layout I could find on Pinterest for reference. Some of those sketches were too involved and detailed for me but I had hundreds of diagrams to bring inspiration.
As my confidence grew I used those sketches less and less til I finally deleted my board. But, I STILL use layouts and ideas when I hit a creative wall but instead I can look at other’s paper crafting creations for layout inspiration to help me. So when the annual catalog came out, I was glad to see the sketches on page 22 to help others when they too hit the craft wall.
We had our weekly FB LIVE on our group page, and our focus was on page 22. Pam and Chris joined me, and we each took a card layout idea to work with. What we didn’t do was share which sketch we were focusing on, so Chris and I BOTH chose the same one!! LOL!!! We selected the first layout in the second row (we numbered them from left to right so this is #12). If you compare her blue card in the gallery below you can see the basic layout is there for both, but we each interpreted a bit differently. I added a banner with a greeting, she turned to a decorative oval die for the greeting. Same card layout, but totally different! Pam chose the torn paper technique in #13. All are easy to use for inspiration though!!! Those sketches can be used EXACTLY the same, but you can flip them, turn them from vertical to horizontal, circles to squares, etc. They are simply starting points to help you on your papercrafting journey!
Use These Sketches For Inspiration In Our Drawing!!!
It’s about time for a drawing, so we are using the sketches in the guidelines! It’s simple – choose a card sketch and create a card with how you interpret it! Create the card, post the picture, and tell us which number you used for inspiration! This drawing continues until TUESDAY, JUNE 18! The prize is the bundle Bright Skies from the Spring Catalog! So who’s ready to create and participate????
Of course, this is a private group page BUT IT IS OPEN TO EVERYONE, so just ask to join us! Once you have been approved you can create, post, and possibly win!!! Pam and I started this group back during Covid to keep our people crafting, connected, AND to give us something to focus on as well. We have over 400 members throughout the US as well as overseas, all connected by paper crafting! Simply click on the link below and request to join! The more the merrier!!!

I’ll be back tomorrow to share another creation using page 22 as my reference. If you’ve not studied this page, now is the time to do so. Paper crafting does NOT have to be something you have totally thought up. We have a term in papercrafting – it’s CASE! Copy And Share Everything!!! Until next time, have a great day and go out and craft! God Bless!!!
