One of my gals from Stamp ‘n Sip was interested in the Stargazing Suite because she is in charge of the crafts at her church’s VBS coming up the first week of June. Their theme for VBS is STELLAR and it’s all about space and the universe as God’s creation. So, as soon as the catalogs went live we ordered the Stargazing Suite and rushed the shipping so she had everything before we left on our trip.
Deb and I have been doing crafts for over 35 years together, from painting rustic santas, to now stamping. She isn’t one to send cards, but she loves samplers and she focuses her monthly purchase on how she can use items at church crafts and with her grandkids. I told her to have her spaceman and shuttle stamped, and the planets diecut and we would figure out the layout for her kids. The plan is to have the kids watercolor and splatter the canvas background one day, stamp, die cut, and color the space man and shuttle on the 2nd day, and put everything together on day three. We are talking 20 min. sessions here so it will take three days for sure. And a TON OF DIMENSIONALS!!! LOL
As for the greeting, I simply went to the Stellar music description on the internet, looked at the song titles and used those to create the greeting of “God of the Stars, Light Of My World”. With simply typing and sizing on a google doc we ran it with a label die cut to see if it worked, then I copied and pasted and emailed everything to her!!! Sounds detailed by took less than 5 min. The plan is to reduce a picture of each child’s face to cut with the circle die and glue on the front of the space helmet. The kids will have a craft they created to take home and hang up in there room, AND better than three days of little crafts that end up pitched – but had LOTS of prep!

Final Thoughts….
I love seeing how our Stampin’ Up products can be used without always thinking greeting cards!!! With a little bit of thinking, you can focus your paper crafting skills and supplies in creative ways to share with others and make a positive difference in their life as well. I will post pictures of the kids at VBS creating for sure. Until next time, God Bless!!!!
