When I sat down and planned my product focus for the blog and FB posts, I didn’t expect us to be in the middle of a heatwave this week! It was over 90 degrees at the start of the KC Chiefs game yesterday! But this week’s product focus centers around the Peaceful Cabin Bundle as well as the beautiful snow scenes with the Peaceful Place DSP.
Designing with Peaceful Place DSP
This card begins with a starry panel from the Peaceful Place paper. It’s actually the top 5.25 inches of a panel with gorgeous trees and the entire piece seems more suited for the beautiful sky scene behind the trees! Be sure to not throw this 5 inch strip away though! By layering trees and snow drifts to the panel the DSP creates the beautiful winter sky behind the snowy trees.
Awesome Detail Built into the Dies!
After stamping the images with Basic Gray, the dies are able to cut out not only the edges of the snow laden trees, but also the intricate cut outs of the branches for depth and detail. Multiple tree images and dies are included in the Peaceful Cabin bundle, as well as the rustic cabin, fencing, and the tiny fox!
Wink of Stella for the Finishing Touch!
To finish off the card, I first used the Light Smoky Slate Blend to add shading under the fence rails, snow drifts, and around the tiny fox. The final touch is Wink of Stella which is hit among all of my stamping gals. They love the subtle shimmer that it provides in such an easy manner! Perfect way to finish!
I’m looking forward to sharing this week’s projects with you and I hope you are as well! Until next time, stay cool and hydrated, keep stamping, keep crafting, and God Bless!
