I have a problem with Stampin’ Up product names I guess. For the life of me, I can not remember whether this suite I’m sharing today is called Coastal Scenes or Scenic Coast. I’m always having to go search the product to be sure I have the name correctly, and it’s something I do lots – I was forever trying to remember the beautiful fall suite names as well. SO, when I get the name of a product mixed up, AND I WILL, please forgive me! This coming from a teacher who had over 75 new Kindergarteners every year coming through the music room doors! Took me several weeks to master their names (but in my defense, I only saw them twice weekly!) and we played multiple name games lining up. They thought it was a big game to stump the teacher, but it was my way of trying to match the right child with the right name.
So when I screw up and call this beautiful DSP Scenic Coast, please forgive me in advance, because it’s GOING to happen!!

The cards I’m sharing today are from the Accountability group last week in St. Louis. These cards were designed by Kristy Johnson. She did a great job creating several fun folds showcasing both the DSP and the dies as well.

This DSP is stunning, but in some ways it’s also limited. You really need the sunset/sunrise images but because they are found in the center of the 6×6 DSP, the 2 inches you cut off are going to be difficult to use. Save those strips though – the longer this DSP is available, the more images will pop up using those strips for cardmaking.

This card uses the back side of these DSP patterns for the background pieces, then a smaller section for the die used as a focal point. I also love the sequins that coordinate with the suite – they are equally stunning!

This was the card we created at the shoebox swap. Doesn’t the sailboat silhouette in black card stock really stand out against the sunset scene? Such a simple but beautiful card design. Thank you Kristy for your creations!!!
