After church on Sunday we took off for the halfway point between Macon and St. Louis to meet up with our daughter Megan and her family. After a quick lunch, we loaded up the girls and headed back to Macon. We have played games, baked cookies, and currently they are watching the end of a Disney movie before bedtime. The plan for tomorrow is to head to the Mark Twain Cave in Hannibal, MO. Neither of the girls have been on a cave tour so it will be interesting! We have a couple of other activities planned while we are there, so hoping for a good night’s sleep tonight so everyone is rested and ready to go.
My next class is one we started several months ago – cards for our grandkids and others at heart! When we started it was easy – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. Dang, that’s like a crafting home run! This class has been a bit more challenging – we have a 4th of July card, one for returning back to school, and then a couple for just fun.
I rarely go for the cutesy style, but I have to say the stamp set Hearts And Hugs made my FIRST order from the annual catalog! This set is simply adorable! Think badgers, a cute mouse, walrus, and a hamster with his cheeks loaded. Such a cute set, and I’ve seen so many adorable cards already. I decided to work with the new In Color Summer Splash and Smoky Slate blends for coloring. The embossing folder is the new Dashing Designs folder, and I used one of the fun circle dies in the Spotlight On Nature die cuts. Add the fun patterns from the In Color DSP pack, the Summer Splash ribbon, and the new In Color Resin dots and you have a sweet card for any occasion – skinned knees, summer cold, or simply to tell you “I love you”!
I hope to be back next time with another one of our Grandkid cards, but everything depends on the activities with the girls. They are growing up too quickly for us, and the time will come when they really won’t want to spend time at Nana and Papa’s house. But until then, we will enjoy every minute we can!
Until next time, have a great day, find time to craft and create, and God Bless!!!
