Goodness, we awoke to a couple more inches of snow this morning! Not enough for Pool Boy to blade or shovel though. Just on of those snows that lays fluffy on the tree branches and the birdfeeders since there’s no wind blowing. One of those snows that makes me glad I’ve nothing to do today, no errands or meetings, so I can just do my thing in the house without needing to leave.
I will continue with the purging and undecorating projects through the weekend then looking ahead at our In Person Bingo next Tuesday. We have a record number of participants this time!!! I plan to finish up my display items today, then cut and package my make and take tomorrow. While working on my display for the sketches on page 12 of the new mini catalog, I turned to a new die set and discovered I LOVE THIS SET!!!!!
The EVERYDAY ARCHES dies are wonderful!!! I’ve always been super picky about any layering die sets such as the deckled circles and rectangles, the perrenial postage set, the nested essentials, etc. I much prefer NARROW borders or margins, so when I try and stack these sets together – so the two die shapes are next to each of in the set – I don’t like them. This is all personal preference, but the border of the larger die is too wide for me. That’s why I never stacked two deckled dies together, but instead cut a mat for the bottom layer. I WANTED THE NARROW BORDER! Maybe it’s the stitching of the EVERYDAY ARCH borders that gives the illusion of a narrower border, but I LOVE THESE and will stack them often!!! No more having to cut a smaller mat!!!
This is one of the cards I will include in our display for the Bingo night using the Timeless Plaid for all 22 sketches on page 12. Since I also love monochromatic cards this plaid pattern took my eye immediately. I paired it with Memorable Blooms stamp set, then used a blender pen to add shading to the floral images. Blender pens are such an easy way to add interest and variety to your stamped images!

Final Thoughts….
We’ve a quiet weekend ahead since the Chiefs aren’t playing the first round of the play-offs. Our grandsons will be over to visit some Saturday so Rachel can do some papercrafting for party decorations for Cal’s 2nd birthday. Hard to believe our little guy is soon to be two!!!!! Is there a better dog than labradors or golden retreivers for a little boy to wrestle and play with? Merlin could care less that Cal’s laying on him.
Until next time, have a great day doing whatever makes you happy, stay inside out of the weather if you can, and God Bless!
