Good morning everyone!!! As we get closer to Christmas I want to share a couple of ornaments that have been hanging on our tree for over 35 years and were created by our daughter Megan. She will always check to see if these two ornaments are visible AND NOT STUCK on the back of the tree! They were made by a 4 or 5 year old but are just as treasured as our most expensive ornament.
Have you ever seen such a scary gingerbread guy??? LOL!! She did great painting on the cow, but cutting the felt on that little gingerbread guy was abit hard for little hands. He looks like someone already cut a piece of his head off on the left side, doesn’t he? But I will say her sewing is probably equal to mine, since I hate to sew and the results of my sewing reflect it! She made these at a friend’s house all those years ago, and they still are hanging around. Do you have ornaments such as these???/

Final Thoughts….
Over the years Megan has added to our Christmas ornament collection and she always has a quirky way of doing so. The year she went to London with our friend Maureen she bought one of the most ugly Bobby ornaments that she could find in Harrod’s. He is tacky as can be and HE was definitely hidden in the back of the tree, although she wanted him front and center. He has since been regifted back to her and hangs in the back of HER CHRISTMAS TREE.
Then there was the year she gave me a beautiful Swarovski crystal snowflake ornament from Switzerland. Oh my word, so beautiful! But, remember — quirky! These ornaments are usually manufactured with a small silver tag with the dated year. She told me she couldn’t afford that year’s ornament at full price, so mine is dated the year BEFORE she was in Switzerland that she found on the clearance table at 1/2 price. LOL!!!! So, if I want to remember the year she gave it to me, be sure to add 1 to the number!
These are the stories and items that make Christmas so special. Until tomorrow, have a great day doing whatever makes you happy, reminisce about some of your past Christmas memories, and God Bless!!!
