I love the crisp fall days, with the leaves turning colors, the cooler temps, and the fall decorations. Of course, I also hate fall because that’s when my allergies kick in big time. Pool Boy would love to sleep with windows open, and I am clinging to the air conditioning to keep from having a full blown allergy attack. This year seems worse then ever and we need a good rain to clear the air of the pollens and irritants. Thankfully we can also enjoy the colors of fall inside with our paper crafting!
Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow – these are my go to Stampin’ Up colors for fall. Are they yours as well???
When Stampin’ Up introduced their scrapbooking line, they also brought us some additional products sold separate from the kits. I love the simple patterns found in the Sweet Days Of Autumn DSP — they are easy to use, coordinate with each other, and makes for ease with card designing.
October means the arrival of our second grandson is near too, so I used the Sweet Days Of Autumn for a baby card as well. Their nursery is full of the whole “forest friends” theme, so this card will be perfect to celebrate his arrival!
Have you missed the scrapbook arrival?? Even though I resisted the whole scrapbook thing I ordered the kits to check out the quality, and I was surprised to see what was included, especially the layout directions. The details provided for the layouts would make scrapbooking a breeze for a novice for sure! We have a busy weekend ahead — between prepping for the September Christmas Card Class and Speed Bingo, Pool Boy has decided it’s time to can his Pepper Jelly as well. We are watching Cal for a few hours tomorrow, and this time next week we will be packing suitcases for our next trip. We will start in Quebec City and cruise the St. Lawrence Seaway around to Nova Scotia, down towards Maine and finally disembark in Boston. Here’s hoping we will have some of those crisp fall days with turning leaves.
And this trip might even inspire me to try my hand at scrapbooking as well. Never say never, right???? Until next time, have a wonderful day and weekend doing whatever you love, and God Bless!
