Good morning everyone and welcome to the first week of December! As I type there are big snowflakes lightly falling outside with just a dust on the ground. No accumulation expected but definitely a perfect excuse to stay inside for the day, isn’t it??
We are working our way thru Thanksgiving leftovers, and looking ahead to figuring out the menu for Christmas. I’m leaning towards soups and sliders for Christmas Eve, then brisket for Christmas lunch. Add a few sides, some candies and cookies, and I think we will have it covered. Let’s make it as easy as possible.
After several days of not crafting, I walked into my room and went with something very low-key. For a paper crafter, than means no dies, no punches, just a paper cutter and one or two stamps. I’m always amazed at how pretty cards turn out WITHOUT all of the extras we love!!

Since the Thoughtful Journey DSP was still on my desk from the retreat, I grabbed my favorite pattern in the pile and started chopping. Night Of Navy and Highland Heather might not be your idea of a color combo, but I love the two with the pattern I chose.
Add a couple of strips for the greeting, a slender silver ribbon, and some bling with the Regal dot embellishments and you have a beautiful card in just a few minutes.
Final Thoughts….
We paper crafters have to have EVERYTHING though – the punches, the inks, the card stocks, the dies – everything to feed our creative juices, but truly a meager amount of supplies creates beautiful cards as well.
But in case you love all those extras like me, check in to my FB LIVE at 4:30 central today on my business page and see all of the bangs and whistles with the Decorative Trees dies, and everything that glimmers, shimmers, and shines to see what I come up with. AND —- let’s check out a new adhesive I was introduced to from a friend at the retreat!!! Hope you will join me! Until next time, take advantage of today’s weather and make some simple but beautiful cards as well. Keep crafting, keep stamping, and God Bless you my friends!!!
